The escalating migration crisis is testing the European Union's capabilities and institutions on every possible level, and migrant quotas are once again on the agenda of Brussels. Europe not only has to face the greatest war since World War Two, and hence the biggest refugee crisis ever since but millions of people risk falling prey to human trafficking and other forms of exploitation in the Southern borders of Europe. Considering the recent violent uprising in France, we need to ask if we can ensure that the European family is not overrun by criminality. Facing the extreme challenge of migration in the coming decades can Europe create a just and sustainable system of migration instead of forced migration and punishing countries that stand against uncontrolled migration? In this panel, our experts will look for answers to these questions.
